Maria Cerrillo is the Marketing Coordinator at Brooks Law, where she brings together her diverse background in legal services, sales, and digital marketing to support the firm’s growth and community outreach. Born in Boston and raised in Cancún, Mexico by a Brazilian mother and Mexican father, Maria returned to the U.S. in 2021 with a unique multicultural perspective and trilingual fluency in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.

Maria began her journey at Brooks Law in 2021 as a front desk coordinator and quickly advanced to the role of immigration paralegal, where she worked closely with clients and attorneys for over three years. She also served as a Business Development Representative in the legal sales department, developing an in-depth understanding of intake, conversion, and client experience.

Now, as the firm’s Marketing Coordinator, Maria channels her knowledge of the legal process, client communication, and sales into creating targeted, culturally relevant marketing campaigns. Her decision to transition into marketing came from a desire to blend creativity with strategy while continuing to serve the communities she’s most passionate about. With her legal and sales background, she brings a unique advantage to her marketing work—understanding not just what the firm does, but how it connects with people.

Maria is currently completing her Bachelor’s degree in Marketing with a focus on Social Media and regularly pursues certifications in digital strategy to stay current in the field. Her approach to marketing is rooted in data, empathy, and innovation—always with an eye on growing the firm’s reach and impact.

She enjoys working in marketing because it gives her the opportunity to be creative, work toward measurable goals, and contribute to the firm’s expansion. In her role, she supports attorneys, intake teams, and leadership by developing campaigns, managing content, optimizing digital presence, and aligning marketing strategy with firm goals.

Outside of work, Maria loves staying active—especially biking or hiking with her daughter. She’s passionate about wellness, community, and cultural representation, and takes pride in being part of a law firm that advocates for immigrant families like her own.
