Layane Braga is the Asylum Case Operations Manager at Brooks Law, where she brings over seven years of legal and administrative experience to the team. A licensed attorney in Brazil, she graduated with a law degree in Rio de Janeiro and has since dedicated her career to supporting clients with compassion, precision, and efficiency.

Before transitioning into her current leadership role in the asylum department, Layane managed Workers’ Compensation cases for more than five years. This cross-functional experience allowed her to develop a deep understanding of legal workflows and client care in high-stakes, emotionally charged matters.

Her professional background also includes working at Petrobras, one of Brazil’s largest companies, where she handled contracts and documentation and assisted contractor employees with legal and administrative matters. That experience honed her ability to multitask, solve problems quickly, and lead with empathy.

At Brooks Law, Layane now oversees all asylum case operations. Her role includes coordinating internal processes, mentoring team members, and ensuring that clients receive timely updates and thorough support as they navigate the complex asylum system. She approaches every case with empathy, attention to detail, and a commitment to helping vulnerable individuals gain access to protection and justice.

Outside of work, Layane loves to travel, explore new places, and spend time with her friends. She’s known for her positive attitude, her strong sense of empathy, and her belief in always putting herself in the client’s shoes—qualities that make her an invaluable part of the Brooks Law team.
