Dinora Canas is an Immigration Paralegal in the EOIR Department at Brooks Law, bringing more than 11 years of experience in immigration law and a deep commitment to serving immigrant families. In her role, Dinora helps coordinate and schedule consultations with detainees held in detention facilities, working closely with attorneys to support bond cases and assist in every aspect needed to move cases forward effectively.

From her very first day at Brooks Law, Dinora was drawn to the welcoming environment and the team’s shared dedication to helping immigrants and their families navigate some of the most challenging moments of their lives. She values the collaborative culture of the firm and the collective focus on achieving meaningful outcomes for clients.

Coming from a large immigrant family herself, Dinora is personally inspired by the importance of keeping families together. This motivation drives her client-centered approach and her strong belief that building trust through clear, professional communication is essential. She considers relationship-building a cornerstone of effective legal advocacy.

Dinora is highly experienced in EOIR proceedings, asylum cases, and a wide range of immigration matters. One of her most memorable professional moments was helping secure an asylum approval through immigration court for a Honduran client who had survived severe domestic violence and sexual assault—an outcome that reinforced her passion for this work.

Known for her dedication, empathy, and steady professionalism, Dinora takes pride in her continuous growth within the immigration field and in learning something new every day.
