RAISSA OLIVEIRA – Head SIJ Paralegal, Brooks Law

Raíssa Oliveira serves as the Head SIJ (Special Immigrant Juvenile) Paralegal at Brooks Law, bringing over five years of legal experience to the firm. Her background spans both U.S. immigration law and Brazilian legal practice, with deep expertise in labor litigation, contracts, and compliance.
Before joining Brooks Law, Raíssa worked with major multinational companies such as Dow, Boston Scientific, and Europe Assistance. In these roles, she was part of the legal departments, focusing on contract management, labor litigation strategy, and regulatory compliance. Since transitioning into immigration law in 2020, she has applied her strong legal foundation to help vulnerable immigrants—especially minors—navigate the complexities of SIJ and humanitarian relief.
Raíssa holds multiple certifications in areas like EB1A and O1A visas, U.S. immigration fundamentals, GDPR compliance, consumer rights, and contract negotiations. Her multifaceted legal training and on-the-ground experience make her a vital member of the Brooks Law immigration team.
What motivates Raíssa isn’t simply the title of “paralegal”—it’s the opportunity to make real, lasting change in the lives of immigrants. She finds meaning in advocating for people who may be facing their one shot at a better life. Her client-centered approach is rooted in patience, empathy, and a deep sense of responsibility. Whether she’s updating a client, offering guidance to a colleague, or simply listening with compassion, Raíssa brings a solutions-driven mindset to every interaction.
Known for:
- Endless patience (even when tested!)
- A belief that there’s always something that can be done to help
- A history of community volunteering that shaped her service-first outlook
- Strategic thinking, paired with a stubborn dedication to getting the job done right
Outside the office, Raíssa stays active by running, obsessing over her black lab Roberto, and watching soccer. She once asked ChatGPT to describe her in one sentence—and was told: “You’re strategically stubborn with a heart.” She’s still deciding whether or not to agree.
